John Forsyth is a freelance journalist and editorial consultant. He worked for BBC Radio (including ‘The Food Programme’, ‘File on 4’, and one-off investigative series) and TV (‘Heart of the Matter’, and ‘Newsnight’) in London and ran his own independent production company in Scotland for 10 years, supplying programmes to BBC Radio 2, 3, 4, 5 Live, Radio Scotland and the World Service. Freelance radio production includes ‘Remorse: a Sorry Story’, two series of ‘Classified Britain’, and ‘A Spy in Every Embassy’ for Radio 4. John is a former head of Oxfam Press Office, political editor of Scotland on Sunday, editor of The Scotsman law and legal affairs section, and for 17 years, public affairs manager of Shared Parenting Scotland. He has an eye for the human stories that capture moments in history and illustrate the welter of social change.
